Verdine White, founding member of the band Earth, Wind & Fire was named recipient of the 2019 Motif For Humanity Fine Arts Medal of Honor.

Verdine White was honored recipient of the 2019 Motif Award Lifetime Medal of Honor, for his work through the Verdine White Performing Arts Center located in Los Angeles, California. The Center’s purpose is to assist musically talented students living in underserved communities. The Center provides scholarships, music lessons, and instruments. Verdine will continue his journey as a community-based organizer, thought leader, and humanitarian; generating lasting positive impact around the world.
