Gene Wilder was named recipient of the Motif Award Global Humanitarian Medal of Honor in memoriam of Theodor Seuss Geisel
Wilder was recognized for his work with Gilda’s Club, a nationwide cancer support network for children and families in memory of his third wife, Gilda Radner. Wilder co-founded Gilda’s Club in 1995. Wilder was also recognized for his iconic role in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, a children’s American musical fantasy film.
