Andrew Russell, Executive Director of PBS SoCaL was named a recipient of the 2016 Motif Award Advancement of Education Medal of Honor in memoriam of Fred M. Rogers.
Andrew Russell was recognized for his work as the Executive Director of PBS SoCaL Russell is one of the most impactful leaders in public television. Russell has held executive positions at PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting with a wide range of national responsibilities. He led the efforts that created PBS’s “Ready To Learn” service for pre-school children that has e-shaped the PBS primetime schedule.
